In Fall 2025, the Utility Broadband Alliance launched The Utility Broadband Revolution: Insights, a research program designed to capture how utilities are approaching the evolving role of communications infrastructure in grid operations. The program draws on more than two dozen interviews with utility telecommunications, grid operations and IT leaders, as well as solution providers; an industry survey; and supporting third-party research. Together, these inputs provide a view into the business, technology, organizational and operational considerations shaping utility broadband strategies today.
