From utilities delivering measurable impact for their customers and communities, to solutions providers creating high-value innovations, to individuals making a lasting difference through their leadership—each submission helps showcase what excellence looks like in action. We encourage you to share your story, highlight your achievements, and gain recognition among peers for the work that is shaping the future of the utility industry.
The UBBA Awards, nominations are open to all UBBA Members, including utilities, solutions providers, and individuals from a member company. Each year the UBBA Awards celebrate the determination, creativity, and impact of our members to push the boundaries of collaborative innovation.
2026 UBBA Awards Criteria – Recognizing Excellence in Utility Operational Strategies and Broadband Transformation
The UBBA Awards honor exceptional contributions that drive forward our mission for secure, resilient, and future-ready utility operations and infrastructure.
Nominations should demonstrate outstanding impact across any of the following criteria categories:
- Strategic Ambassadorship & Ecosystem Growth: Awarded to individuals or organizations who have accelerated the growth of the UBBA community through active participation, cross-sector engagement, and demonstrated leadership in shaping broadband policy, awareness, and adoption.
- Catalytic Collaboration & Industry Enablement: Recognizes those who have championed critical industry use cases through cross-organizational collaboration, pilot programs, or scalable deployments that address real-world utility challenges.
- Breakthrough Innovation in Utility Operations: Celebrates transformational technology or processes that have redefined how utilities operate, ensuring greater resilience, sustainability, and operational intelligence.
The UBBA Awards will recognize the outstanding leadership of one utility, one solution company, and two individuals from member organizations who personally exemplified and embodied the visionary spirit of UBBA and our industry.
Nominations will be open until June 5, 2026.
After this date, The UBBA Board of Directors will consider all submissions and the winners will be announced and celebrated at the
2026 Summit & Plugfest in Fort Worth, Texas!
